As a voter, sometimes it is difficult to figure out who is telling the truth and who is promising a non-existent Utopia.

If you like what Trump is doing for the country, vote for him again in 2020. If you are still on the fence over the other party, understanding the standard Democratic goal is simple. I say it is a simple formula because all of the Democratic candidates have the same message.

Through legislation, they plan to outlaw:

1. the right to own or bear firearms including revoking civilian gun permits.

2. decision to chose your own food, including beef.

3. decision to control the thermostat in your house/work place/stores

4. right of freedom of speech.

5. remove representation from taxation.

6. install rigid guidelines to enforce the “protection of the environment” over citizens rights, including mandatory community gardens co-ops.

7. Remove the choice of any healthcare other than Socialized medicine they provide, including triage of the aged, infirm, and imperfect.

8. Further restrict travel to only the State level without a passport.

9. Further dilute the abortion laws until there are none.

10. Turn every law inward to make the populace more dependent on government. Eventual confiscation of all private business.

11. Remove all reference in the English language concerning gender differences.

I couldn’t find anything the Democratic contenders want to “give” us that doesn’t include first “taking” from us individually through higher taxes,or restricting our freedoms and all in the name of “the People.”

Did I get something terribly wrong or did I miss something even bigger?

Right on Bert. All the Democrat candidates remind me of the little girl running for class president who won because she promised ice cream to all her classmates....

Frank

Well, Mr. Positive, taking a clue from your orange leader, you just throw out a bunch of claims without any concern for truth and without any specific evidence to back up your assertions. You aim like many far rightists, is to sow fear and paranoia, rather than deal with actual facts.

rmartin

Hey Frankie, how about those actual facts. So far the orange man as you say has been and continues to make fools out of the looney democrats. Now that's a fact....

Frank

N/A, I know it will be hard for you to comprehend, but someday I need to explain to you the difference between facts and opinions.

"I couldn’t find anything the Democratic contenders want to “give” us that doesn’t include first “taking” from us individually through higher taxes,or restricting our freedoms and all in the name of “the People.” Bert Marshall Nothing has changed except now they are doing everything they can to impeach, which doesn't mean a danged thing except stirring up a giant distraction from representing the American people. The Democratic leaders can barely control their underlings let alone do anything positive for the American people except scream foul. Look for a minimum of 5 more years of "He hurt my feelings! Waaa!" Please. Anyone. Name one thing on the Democratic platform the contenders are touting as the answer, that doesn't cost us either our liberty and freedom, or more taxes. Just name something please. It should be easy, but guess what? They have nothing to offer anyone except their own voting record.

Frank

Well Bert, the number one thing the Democrats have to offer is an honorable candidate. Unless you have dementia, you know Trump is a compulsive liar and the most corrupt, incompetent and amoral person ever to inhabit the White House. Why don’t you answer this question…Would you be happy to see your granddaughter marry a man who had the moral character of Donald Trump? Now reconcile your answer with your support for Trump. At some point, the obvious conclusion is that people who with their votes, aid and abet criminal Donald Trump are no better than he is. I am willing (and happy) to accept that my support of Obama makes my character comparable to his. Are you willing to say the same about yourself and Trump?

rmartin

There is not a thing you can tell me Frankie. The word of the day is "YO. President Trump is still "YO" President. That $1000.00 is still up if you want to bet on the next President.....

Frank

Wow. What a dumb response. Explaining the difference between fact and opinion to a non-thinker like yourself would be a waste of time, so I'll pass.

baytownbert

As usual, all you have is argument and insults. Oh! That IS the Democratic strategy. My bad.

Frank

Bert, as usual, you and N/A avoid answering the hard questions. You have your opinion and no amount of facts are going to change it. That IS the Trumpublican mindset.

rmartin

There is someone dumb but it isn't me....

Frank

This from a ex-republican senator:

"At this point, the president’s conduct in office should not surprise us. But truly devastating has been our tolerance of that conduct. Our embrace of it......My fellow Republicans, it is time to risk your careers in favor of your principles. Whether you believe the president deserves impeachment, you know he does not deserve reelection.

Our country will have more presidents. But principles, well, we get just one crack at those. For those who want to put America first, it is critically important at this moment in the life of our country that we all, here and now, do just that.

Trust me when I say that you can go elsewhere for a job. But you cannot go elsewhere for a soul."

At some point in this impeachment process, after enough sandstorm has been lifted to the heavens... everything will suddenly go cold like it is over, because it will be. The reason this will happen, and it has to; is because there will be so much complicity and corruption uncovered on both sides that they will pretend some other emergency is bigger and it will all fade away.

Then Trump/Pence will be elected for a second term.

Frank

At this point, the complicity and corruption is ALL Trump's. Trump's MO is to create smokescreens to divert attention from his misdeeds, and his brainwashed followers will buy into whatever conspiracy theory he proposes. Personally, I prefer that Donnie be voted out of office rather than impeached. Unfortunately, Trump's continuous overt and illegal behavior requires impeachment if we are going to remain a nation of laws with no one above the law. I predict that the House will vote for articles of impeachment, then within minutes of taking up the impeachment, Mitch McConnell will entertain a motion to dismiss charges, and the trial will be over. Bert, if you have one shred of objectivity, you will admit that if Obama had done the same things as Trump under the same circumstances, you would have called for his head on a pike. As that Republican ex-senator said, don't lose your soul.

Then Don the Con goes to prison in 2021.

baytownbert

Time will prove which of us is objective, sir. After the dust settles...

Trump/Pence will be reelected in 2020.
