Randal Steve Oakley

Randal Steve Oakley passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Second Baptist Church, 6227 N. Main, Baytown, Texas at 10 a.m. in the Worship Center with Pastors Tommy Clements, Mark Stafford. The family is extending an invitation to friends and family to meet with them at 12 p.m. noon for lunch and visitation following the service, at Luby’s Cafeteria, 1201 W. Baker Rd, Baytown, Texas. They will be gathering in the banquet room.

On Thursday, November 21, 2019, Randal Steve Oakley, loving husband and father, left his earthly life and entered Heaven's gates at age 67.

Randy was born on November 6, 1952 in Liberty, Texas to Peggy and R.L. Oakley. He graduated from Liberty High School In Liberty Texas, in 1972, attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, and worked for ExxonMobil, Baytown, for 34 years until his retirement in 2009.

On September 21,1974, he married the love of his life,

Monica Rene Shivers. They raised a wonderful son together, Joshua Paul Oakley.

Randy loved to fish and hunt. He loved water sports and days at the beach. He was an avid horseman and enjoyed spending time with his faithful steed and companion "Puddin".

Randy was also a Harley rider. In his spare time, especially after his retirement, you could find him riding the back roads with his friends and Harley family most anywhere the roads would take him. He was known for his laughter, his infectious smile, and his willingness to be a help to anyone in need.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, R.L., and his mother, Peggy.

He is survived by his wife Rene, his son Josh, grandsons Tristan and Trevor, granddaughter Laken Grace Fleetwood, his brother Craig and wife Shelly, his sister Julie and husband John, brother-in-law, Alex Shivers, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews
