Phyllis Ann Rollins passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at her home in Channelview. She was born October 2, 1932 in Houston to Ragner and Olive (Fisher) Bergquist. Mrs. Rollins was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School class of 1949 and a member of Old River Terrace United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group, the Lakeside Garden Club, and a past auxiliary member of the VFW Post 1839 in Cleveland. She will be remembered for her baking and paintings. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Mrs. Rollins is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Joe Rollins; brother, Ragner Bergquist; sisters, Dolores Dearman and Suzanne Reeves. She is survived by her son, Terry Edward Rollins of Cleveland; daughter, Carrie Louise Moore and husband, Jack, of Dayton; sisters, Donna Mackert of Baytown, Sharon Dunnaway of Houston, and Sherleen Thompson of Channelview; grandchildren, Ray Moore, Courtney Lee Moore, and Tom Edward Rollins; and her four legged companion, Joker.
