Etelvina (Nieto) Marron passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Rosary to begin at 7 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home 3919 Garth Rd in Baytown, Texas. A funeral mass will be on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 1124 Beech St. in Baytown. She will be laid to rest following the mass at Memory Gardens Cemetery on Garth Rd in Baytown. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church or your favorite Charity of Choice. 

 

 

 

Etelvina (Nieto) Marron, age 103, of Baytown, Texas passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. She was born on November 22, 1915 in Thorndale, Texas to Vincente Nieto and Gertrudes (Campos) Nieto. 

Etelvina was affectionally known to family as (ET). 

She came to Baytown with her mother, sister Amalia and brother Vincente Jr. in 1920. They joined their father, who was working for Humble Oil Refinery and lived in the “tent city” known as “El Campo Viejo”. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Jose Felipe Marron, her parents Vincent and Gertrudes Nieto, her sister Amalia Hernandez, Lois Estrada, brothers Vincente Jr., Rodolfo, Joe, and Jesus Nieto; her sons Benjamin Marron, Roy Jack Marron, and Tony Angel Nieto. 

She is survived by her sisters Elvira Barajas, Lydia Castillo, Mary Nieto, and brother Henry Nieto; surviving children Mary Ortiz, Emma I. Garcia, Frank Marron (Felipa), Isabel Gonzales (Silver) Johnny E. Marron (Eloisa), Richard Marron (Esmeralda) and Ralph Marron (Paulita), and step-daughter Paula Galvan, 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. 

Honoring the family as Pallbearer Rick Marron, Juan Marron, David Marron, Israel Gonzales, Miguel Ceja, Matthew E. Muniz, and Jose Bernal Jr. Honorary Pallbearers Jason Garcia and Ken Norman.
