Fred loved hunting and cars. His father would take him hunting for hours while he listened to radio baseball.

Growing up in his father's GM car business, he later owned Page-Dittman Motors; Carrell Dittman Pontiac and Dittman Motors. Fred owned many businesses over the years including a savings and loan, Nautilus Fitness, boat dealership, warehouses, cattle, and hay. Quite an eye for real estate.

Fred served in the US Army - B- Battery, 6th Missile Battalion and loyally attended many

reunions with Tom A., Tom E., and Chuck.

Fred's happiest day were spent at his West Texas - EZD Ranch. Many Friends, too many to name enjoyed these good times with him.

Fred was very health conscious and was known to bribe people to stop smoking. He was an avid runner, participating in several marathons. He was a fifty-gallon blood donor and encouraged others to donate.

He was a kind person with the gift of giving. He honored the elderly and cherished children. Many people enjoyed fishing on his pier and he delighted in hosting Kid Fish at his bay home. He sponsored Little League, soccer, FFA and many charities. He funded many dreams.  His motto was "Always do more than your share".

Survived by his wife of 54 years, Nickey, daughter Nikol and son Fred Carl; sisters-in-laws, Dee Johnson, Dana Taylor (Travis); numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.  Preceded in death by his son Jonathan Ashley Dittman; second father Spanky Lusk; sister, Jeanene Dittman Merka and parents Fred Sr. and Eva Dittman.
