Police Beat – BPD seeks two men


• Baytown police are looking for two men in connection with an assault in the 1400 block of Beaumont Street Tuesday morning.

The men, identified at Lenard Hebert III, 30, and Michael Hebert, 26, reportedly fired shots at a man in front of a business, shattering the glass front door of the business but not injuring the intended victim.

• Police are looking for Alfred Henry Stewart, 34, in the alleged robbery of a man at the game room of a convenience store in the 1900 block of Interstate 10 Sunday.

He is accused of hitting another man several times and stealing money from him.

Aggravated robbery

Three trespassers reportedly assaulted and stole the phone of a property owner in the 5900 block of Bayway Drive about 9 a.m. Tuesday

The property owner said he saw two men and a woman fishing from a pier on his property, and they ignored his first request to leave.

The second time he approached them, the men assaulted him, causing minor cuts and abrasions, and one took his phone. The trespassers left in a gray Dodge Journey.


• Tools were reported stolen from a house in the 3100 block of Indiana Street Monday night.

• A vehicle was reported burglarized in the 300 block of Forrest Avenue.

• Tools, clothing and other items were reported stolen from a vehicle at a business in the 1300 block of North Main Street.


• A black Chevrolet Silverado with Texas license JX*5786 was reported stolen from the 6900 block of Garth Road Tuesday afternoon.

• A utility trailer with a riding lawn mower was reported stolen from a business in the 5200 block of West Road.
