As school districts ponder what the fall semester will look like, many — including Goose Creek CISD — are hoping for the best while preparing for the worst. Goose Creek is scheduled to open school on Aug. 13.

With the Texas Education Agency mandating schools in the state reopen with in-person classes this fall, school districts such as Goose Creek CISD face difficult decisions. 

The Goose Creek board recently considered three options for reopening the schools for the 2020-2021 year – open with 100% virtual instruction, use a hybrid method with virtual and in-person learning, or reopen as normal.
