1 Like a pretty penny, the Baytown Farmers Market has returned for a new year of fun and goods. The market will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at its steady location in Town Square. The vibe is described as similar to a Hallmark movie setting, which is great news for all those who live for those Christmas movies. Town Square is located at 213 West Texas Avenue, across from that great ice cream shop Sabor of Mexico. Darian Hernandez is scheduled to entertain. Bike to the Market is at 9 a.m. with Yoga at the Market at 10 a.m. 

 

2 There will be a benefit for Dan Perez this weekend at Nuevo Leon Social Events. The event for the popular Baytown business owner who passed away will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Nuevo Leon Social Events located at 1000 Park St. in Baytown. Chopped beef sandwiches with chips will be available for $10. There will also be music and a raffle. For more information or donations, contact Cindy at 281-460-5963. 

 

3 End with weekend with an evening of class and refinement and Yepez Vineyard. Sip on some of the vineyard’s finest and enjoy the music A.J. Santana. Santana will perform from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the vineyard located at 12739 FM-2354 in Baytown.  

 

4 Do you feel the need for speed? Are you getting antsy waiting for SpringNationals? Opportunity has met desire and adventure wait on the water. The 2020 San Jacinto River Winternationals will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The event is located just down the way at the Good Times Marina located at 11906 7th 1/2 St. in Houston. 

 

5 Paging all fans of the 2nd Amendment. Circle Pasadena for your weekend plans. The Pasadena Gun Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Pasadena Convention Center. There will be a display of all kinds of guns, ammunition, equipment, wild game turkey and other related items. It offers something for everyone. The convention center is located at 7902 Fairmont Parkway. 

 

BONUS Looking for an excuse to vacate the kitchen today. Rely on the Ladies of St. John Parish to feed you and your loved one. The ladies are hosting a Fish Fry by Catfish on Wheels. Serving times are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Activity Building at 800 W. Baker Road. The cost is for each dinner is $10.
