The City of Baytown welcomed the staff of the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, which opened Monday.
Located at 6300 Garth Road, Suite 200, in the Baytown Shops retail center anchored by H-E-B, the 11,000-square-foot primary care clinic offers comprehensive care for adults and children.
“We’re certainly excited that Kelsey-Seybold has brought their footprint to Baytown,” Mayor Brandon Capetillo said. “With employees from Covestro, the port region, LyondellBasell and other industry leaders, I believe having a choice here in Baytown is only going to be helpful. We welcome Kelsey-Seybold and we wish them the best.”
The new clinic has two board-certified family medicine physicians but has the capacity for up to six providers.
Dr. Angela Guerra and Dr. Mohammad Ahmed will be providing care to patients at the Baytown Clinic, which expands access to coordinated, evidence-based care in an area that is experiencing accelerated growth, especially in the communities just north of Interstate 10.
“Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is known in the Greater Houston area for the outstanding quality and value it offers to patients and employers seeking coordinated care,” Guerra, managing physician of Kelsey-Seybold – Baytown, said. “We’re excited to be able to expand access to individuals and families east of Houston and look forward to caring for individuals and families living in Baytown and the surrounding area.”
Patients at the Baytown clinic will also have access to an on-site laboratory and X-ray, as well as an extensive referral network for various Kelsey-Seybold specialists with offices at neighboring clinics in Pasadena, Summer Creek, Clear Lake and the Spencer R. Berthelsen Main Campus.
Services at the Baytown clinic includes well and sick-care for children and adults, immunizations and evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Future plans for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Baytown include expanding access to specialties through Virtual Health consults, an added convenience for new and existing patients.
“Since starting construction last year, we’ve been canvassing the Baytown area, meeting with other business owners and residents. Everyone is so welcoming and the energy around our new is so positive,” Stuart Cayer, director of Ambulatory Care, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, said. “We couldn’t be happier to be opening a new clinic in this area.”
