Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying who shot a 20-year-old Baytown man multiple times about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of East Wright Avenue near North 4th Street.

Baytown police spokesman Lt. Steve Dorris said the shooting victim, who was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston for surgery, is expected to survive.

Investigators believe there may have been an argument between the victim and shooter just before the shooting.

Detectives have not positively determined the description of the passenger car that the suspect or suspects fled in.

Dorris said the investigation is active and anyone with knowledge about the case is asked to contact the Baytown police Criminal Investigations Division at 281-420-6646 or call Crime Stoppers at 281-427-TIPS (8477).
