The Baytown Genealogy Society will meet Nov. 11 with Russell Hamman, the operator of the Facebook site, “Hamman’s Baytown History With a Twist serving as the speaker. Hamman will present ‘Illusive Newspapers’ at 10 a.m. at the Sterling Municipal Library. The public is invited to attend.

Hamman, a lifelong Baytown resident and graphic designer, showcases the history of Baytown and the surrounding area. He uses old newspapers to revive Baytown history.

Hamman is involved in the community and recently shot a video to help the effort to bring the Battleship Texas to Baytown.

BGS has been helping Baytonians trace their family histories for over 50 years.
