Both names are familiar in the Democratic Primary runoff for Precinct 3 Constable, as former Constable Ken Jones is challenging current Constable Sherman Eagleton.

When Jones retired from the position in 2016, he endorsed Jasen Rabalais, chief deputy for community services for Precinct 3. Rabalais narrowly missed making the runoff in that election, and Eagleton decisively defeated his runoff opponent, Michel Pappillion.
