1 The Baytown Farmer’s Market returns this week with a plethora of activities for the community. The market itself will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the typical suspects lining the sidewalk with goods in Town Square. The bike to market will be at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m., there will be Yoga at the Market. Town Square is located at 213 W. Texas Avenue. 

2 The Other Side – Short Play Festival will begin Friday and run through the weekend, finishing up next weekend. The festival, which costs $15 each night, will be at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. All 10 shows will be performed each night. The event will be at the Baytown Little Theater located at 2 E. Texas Avenue. 

3 The Baytown Nature Center will host a Moonlight Walk at 9 p.m. Saturday. The program is included with general nature center admission, which is $4 for ages 13 and up and $1 for children 5 to 12 and seniors. Participated should meet at 9 p.m. at the Visitor’s Center parking lot at 6213 Bayway Drive. 

4 Find a special friend to cuddle up with in the fall and winter. Visit the Baytown Animal Shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and be part of the biggest lifesaving day in the nation. The shelter is located at 705 N. Robert Lanier Drive.

5 Put on your finest singlet and head to Dirty D’s Tavern Saturday for Ladies Jello Wrestling Night. Wrestling will be from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. at 2717 N. Alexander Drive. Capacity is limited.
