Patrons attending Baytown Little Theater’s “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,” opening Sept. 9, will find a greatly improved theater after a summer of finishing touches to the organization’s new building at 2 E. Texas Ave.

Risers providing better views of the stage will be the most obvious change. Elevation between rows will be greater than in the theater’s previous building on Hugh Echols Boulevard, improving sight lines.

The new configuration provides 112 seats. It also returns the theater to reserved seating.

The new building opened in March with some work left to do, including risers.

Other important but less visible improvements include the construction of a control room to manage light and sound and improvements to those systems.

Tickets for the next show, and more information about the theater, is available at or by calling 281-424-7617.
