On Monday, Veterans Day at 11 a.m., the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 912 will host a Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Plaza, 1001 Market St. 

The ceremony will begin with the presentation of the colors by Baytown Veterans Ceremonial Color Guard, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Lt. Col. Calvin Dixon, a retiree of the U.S. Air Force, will then give the invocation. 

Mayor Brand Capetillo will welcome guests and Jerry Johnson, commander of VFW Post 912, will introduce the guest speaker, MSgt. Joe Ramirez Sr., U.S. Army retiree who served in the Korean War and was a POW.

The ceremony will end with a rendition of the Armed Forces Medley, America the Beautiful and a benediction.
