A Baytown business was apparently the victim of computer hacking, as they learned when they got a flurry of phone calls Wednesday from customers concerned about duplicate bills.

Les Gibson, of Gibson Printing, said “they got into my account and they re-billed about 20 of my customers.”

Wednesday morning to say they had been billed a second time for printing they had already paid for.

“It’s the first time I’ve been hacked like that,” he said. “It’s the world we live in. We all live by computers now.”

He said he did not know how the incident occurred, and said for anyone else with a bill that didn’t look right to call the company.

Gibson said that when he first tried to log in to his online account from home before coming to work Wednesday, it showed it had suspicious activity.
