Interested in photography?

Need some wonderful photo art for your walls?

Love to shop in air-conditioned comfort?

This Saturday and Sunday, Baytown Photo Club will offer a chance for all that and more during a two-day show and sale called “The Art of Photography,” to be held at Baytown Community Center, 2407 Market Street.

The event will feature a variety of photography works, large and small, framed or simply matted, available to purchase in a wide price range. Not only that, but members and associates of Baytown Photo Club whose creativity goes beyond photography will bring those products to show and sell.

Come to buy or just to look and enjoy. Offerings will include photo creations, of course, but also graphic art, stained glass, jewelry, sun catchers and many more items that might make the perfect gift for someone you know or just the perfect addition to your own home.

Each member of the club who displays at the event will be available to talk about their art or just to talk about photography and photo editing.

Liz Erwin, one of the club’s leaders, encouraged people to come see what local photographers have been creating.

“We have some wonderful photographers in our club and their art would look great on any wall,” she said. “Many of them also enjoy other forms of art and are bringing some of their creations for people to see and perhaps buy. Of course, anybody who just wants to come learn about the club or ask questions about photography will be welcomed, too.”

The event will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and from noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Baytown Photo Club is open to anyone with an interest in photography and includes everything from professional wedding and news photographers to serious artists and amateurs. Learn more at the event or on the group’s Facebook page.
