1 The 42nd Annual Sterling Bazaar has arrived. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, the time-honored event will take place with opportunities to shop and feast. The Original Sterling Star Chicken Spaghetti will be available with salad and bread from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tickets are available for $8 pre-sale and $10 at the door. 2 Looking for a plump bird to fill the family table this week. For those in need, Commissioner Adrian Garcia is hosting a free turkey giveaway for residents from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Garcia is partnering with the Houston Food Bank for the event. No registration or ID is required. Turkeys will be given on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of one per family. The giveaway will at Irvington Park located on 1000 Cavalcade Street in Houston.

From 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, DSA Artistic Rhythmic Gymnastics will take care of your child, while you go out to dinner, shop or merely experience some quiet time. 5 Celebrate the beginning of the winter season in Houston Friday night with Frostival at Discovery Green. There will be ice carving demonstrations, ice sculpture photo ops, skating on the ice and so much more. The event will be from 6 to 10 p.m. The night will also feature the opening of a temporary public art installation in two parts. One is a series of 200 colorful aluminum ‘origami’ birds illuminated by dynamic LED lights. It is complemented with a sound installation by Lina Dib. Admission is free but skating fees will apply.
