Baytown’s police and fire departments were busy over the weekend responding to reports of illegal fireworks in the city, but neither had any arrests or citations from the calls. The fire department did not respond to any fires or EMS calls related to fireworks.

Assistant Fire Chief Dana Dalbey said the fire marshal’s office had two two-person teams patrolling from about 7 p.m.-2 p.m. Saturday night.
