The St. John’s United Methodist Church was named the Best Church entry in the City of Baytown’s Fourth of July parade

The City of Baytown has announced the winners of its annual Fourth of July parade.

Entrants were judged in various categories, including best novelty vehicle, best motorcycle, best fire truck, and more. 

The winners of the 2019 parade are:

Best Equestrian — Southeast Texas Cowboy Church 

Best Antique Car/Classic Car (pre-1949) — Timothy O Daniel

Best Church — St. John’s United Methodist Church 

Best Club/Organization — Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 912

Parade Coordinator Choice — City of Baytown Police/Patrol Bureau

Best Performance/Walking Group — Star Studded Squad 

Best Fire Truck — James Moss 

Best Decorated Float — Gulf Coast Friends of NRA 

Best Military Vehicle WWII era  — Robert Carrizales 

Best Motorcycle — Sling Shots 

Best Decorated Entry — Baytown Critical Mass 

Best Novelty Vehicle — Baytown Fire Marshal’s Office 

Best Company/Business — H-E-B Baytown 

Plaques can be picked upon Monday between 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.. at the Baytown Community Center, 2407 Market St.
