The Baytown Police Department’s Blue Santa is “Helping make Christmas brighter, one child at a time.” The program, backed by the Baytown Municipal Police Association along with generous donations from the community, has been providing families in need with Christmas assistance since the 1970s.

Throughout the year, officers and community members work together compiling a list of children for Blue Santa to visit. With just over a month until the big day, Blue Santa needs help filling his sleigh as he completes his list and checks it twice.

Families nominated will be interviewed by officers and selected based on need. The number of families served will be based on donations received.

Donations of new, unwrapped toys (no toy weapons, please) for children of all ages may be dropped off at the Baytown Police Department lobby -- 3200 North Main -- or at the Sterling Municipal Library located on Mary Elizabeth Wilbanks Avenue in Baytown.

Toys will be allocated by age and money donated will purchase additional items where gaps exist. Gifts will be wrapped and children will receive a personal visit from Blue Santa

For those desiring to make a monetary contribution, credit card or PayPal donations can be made and additional information found at www.baytownbluesanta.com Checks made payable to Baytown Municipal Police Association will also be accepted in the Baytown Police Department lobby, or by mail to 3200 North Main, Baytown, TX 77521. Please note “Blue Santa” on the memo line of your check.
