Baytown police are seeking the public’s help in finding the person who shot an 84-year-old man as he was out on a morning walk last week. 

Baytown police have released surveillance videos of a vehicle thought to be involved in the shooting. 

Baytown police said the elderly victim was walking with another man in his 70s around 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 15 in the 9600 block of Pinehurst Drive when a light colored sedan drove up behind them and shot the man in the back. 

The victim, Sam Wingate, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, making the case a homicide.

You can call, text or fill out an online form – all anonymously. You will be given a unique code number. If the information helps get a suspect arrested and charged, you can use the same code number to collect up to $5,000.
