Volunteers from Iglesia Hillside Church help during Friday’s food fair held by Hearts and Hands of Baytown at Hillside Church in Mont Belvieu.

Another food fair in the area once again came in handy for people in need during the COVID-19 pandemic and current lockdown of America.

Despite a late start at Hillside Church in Mont Belvieu, the fair – hosted by Hearts and Hands of Baytown – did what it intended to do: Give aid to those looking for some during this crisis.

According to Hearts and Hands Executive Director Nikki Rincon, said they gave out small bags with staples of fruit, protein, grain, vegetables and condiments.

“We gave what we could,” Rincon said.”

The next food fair is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday until supplies last at Faith Family Church, 6500 N. Main St.
