What do you like to do? I like to read, watch TV, eat, shop and keep myself otherwise occupied. I am always on the lookout for recommendations, be it for entertainment, restaurants, books or products.

Therefore, I like to share what I am into (or about to get into) here and there. Enjoy.

What I’m watching – “America’s Got Talent” and “House” on Amazon Prime Video. I saw the previews of “This is Us” and two “House” alums have joined the cast, much to my delight. I cannot wait for that show to grace my screen once again.

What I’m reading –  I just ordered several new titles including “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens and “Where’d You Go, Bernadette” by Maria Semple. I have not read a fiction book since high school, but the outstanding reviews of the former and the movie based on the latter have piqued my interest.

I also ordered “Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come: One Introvert’s Year of Saying Yes” by Jessica Pan. I already have some experience saying yes and I must state that Forrest Gump was right: Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get.

What I’m eating –  Now that Mod Pizza offers cauliflower crust, I go there often. The Caspian pizza with a few healthy additions is my favorite. I have also discovered Flower Child, a health-centric restaurant in Houston. If I lived closer, I would eat there every day.

What I’m buying – In August, I used my birthday rewards at Sephora, J.C. Penney, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Vera Bradley and more. I also bought a lamp, end table and stepladder for the house and new pots for my plants.

What I’m doing – Recovering from the loss of my childhood friend and my uncle. Running to the friends and family that remain. Binge-watching TV shows and watching over my cacti and succulent collection. Waiting for fall and the cooler weather it will bring. I am living, day by day and night by night.

I have also been cleaning and organizing. I hung up some Cuddl Duds fleece shirts upstairs, although soon enough it shall be time to bring them back downstairs again. I bought a shoe rack for the closet. Everything cannot be in its place if there is no place to put it. I dream of putting my books on an Amish bookshelf, but that day is yet to come.

Everyday life is made up of so many little things. Enjoy them. Enjoy them all.
