Good food, great music and a lot of fun are to be had over the next two weekends at the 73rd Annual Crosby Fair and Rodeo.
The fun-filled event will be at the Crosby Fairgrounds, 14920 FM 2100, daily.
Tickets cost $5 for children, ages 6 to 12, and $10 for adults, which can be purchased at www.CrosbyRodeo.com.
The rodeo will start with a cook-off today and will run through Sunday.
Bag of Donuts — a New Orleans party band — will then perform at 7 p.m. tonight. Bag of Donuts, consisting of four New Orleans natives, cover songs in a style they have branded as Superpop.
Then on at 7 p.m. Saturday, Travis Matte and the Kingpins will perform its fun spirited, high-energy music that is heavily influenced by many artist and genres.
The band titles their style “Louisiana party music,” as Zydeco meets swamp pop, Cajun, country, rock and bluegrass.
The rodeo will continue five days later on Thursday, June 6. And at 7 p.m. the country and Americana band from Lubbock, Flatland Cavalry will take the stage.
Then on Friday, June 7, Americana singer-songwriter, Parker McCollum with Adam Hood will perform.
Country music artist Koe Wetzel with Caden Gillard will close out the rodeo Saturday, June 8.
The Hi-Lo Pro Rodeo will also run June 6, 7 and 8 and Mutton Bustin’ will be featured every night.
