Genealogy Society meets on Monday

“The Second Wives Club” will be presented to the Baytown Genealogy Society  at 10 a.m. Monday at Sterling Municipal Library.

Guest speaker Melissa Hayes, assistant branch manager for Clayton Center for Genealogical Research, has a goal to educate the public about the importance of genealogy research for adults and children alike. “Start with the stories!” she says. BGS President James Winston invites the public to attend and learn more about the wide world of genealogical resources.

Light refreshments will be served.


‘Singing Women’ coming to Memorial Baptist

The Singing Women Of Texas will perform at Memorial Baptist Church at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12.

The concert is free. A love offering is taken to raise money for their ministry and the missions that the Singing Women Of Texas serve across Texas. The concert will be a blend of traditional, contemporary, gospel and other inspirational music. 

Bring the whole family and join Memorial Baptist Church on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. in the Worship Center at Memorial Baptist Church, 600 W Sterling Avenue, Baytown.


Seniors of Baytown casino run on Jan. 13

Seniors of Baytown are hosting a day trip to Coushatta Casino Monday, Jan. 13. The cost is $20 a person and everyone receives $10 in free play. The bus will leave from Community Center at 8 a.m. To make a reservation, contact David Weber at 832-597-6400.
