This Saturday, the Rotary Club of Baytown hosts the 10th annual Shrimp and Catfish Festival at Houston Raceway Park powered by Pennzoil, 2525 South FM 565 in Baytown from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.  This is the club’s only fundraiser all year which enables them to help many local charities.

All meal tickets from raffle tickets sales will be honored, even if you have misplaced your raffle ticket. The raffle drawing was held previously, when Dana Colquitt won the grand prize, a 2019 Honda Ridgeline, courtesy of Community Honda.

Individual meal tickets are still available at the door for $10 each, and to-go meals are an option. But, you will want to enjoy all the fun activities at the festival, including fun and games for the kids, live and silent auctions, live music and more.

For children, activities will include bounce house, face painting, popcorn, balloon animals, a petting zoo and small animals and reptiles provided by the Eddie V. Gray Wetlands Education and Recreation Center. Emergency vehicles will be on display for the kids to explore.

Just a few of the live auction items are: a 30-gallon tree of your choice from Tree Life Farms, an advertising package from The Baytown Sun, four seats on the 4th row of the Sept. 29 Texans game, steak dinner for 10, a dozen giant cinnamon rolls, a round of golf for four people at four courses in the greater Houston area including Eagle Pointe and Newport, a hand-crafted picnic table branded with the Houston Astros logo, three hours of interior design consultation from Heritage Interiors Design, and adventure package including fishing, whale-watching, sport-fishing, boating, biking and hiking, a “Barrel of Bliss” (wheel barrow filled with premium liquor), a dove-hunting experience, an exotic ram hunt, a wine-tasting for 12, a guided fishing trip for three avid fishermen and many more.
