The City of Baytown is gearing up to host yet another entertaining and fun two-day event to celebrate Independence Day. 

On Wednesday, the festivities will kick off at Bicentennial Park at 6 p.m. with a performance by the New Orleans party band Bag of Donuts. 

Then at 8 p.m., the iconic Village People will take the stage to perform hits such as “Y.M.C.A.,” “In the Navy” and Macho Man.” 

The following day, Thursday, July 4 at 4 p.m., Baytown native and America’s Got Talent contest R.L. Bell will take the stage to perform a mix of R&B, Motown, Funk, Rock and Country Music. 

At 5:30 p.m. a parade will go down Market Street, Lee Drive and Gentry Drive. 

After the parade country music stars Joe Diffie will take the stage followed by Vidor-native Tracy Byrd at 8 p.m. 

The family-friendly, and free, event offers something for everyone, including the parade, local vendors, a kid’s area carnival, giveaways and more.
