Some lucky ladies will finish as the big winners in the Miss Highlands Pageant Saturday. The Highlands Horizons invite you to the 62nd annual Miss Highlands Pageant and the 27th annual Jr. Miss Highlands Pageant on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Highlands Junior High auditorium.  

The Jr. Miss Highlands Pageant begins at 2 p.m. and The Miss Highlands Pageant begins at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is “Friends.”

Both pageants will include an opening number, contestant introductions, casualwear modeling, talent competition, dress modeling and interview question. The emcee for the pageants will be Baytown Police Asst. Chief David Alford.  

Awards presented will include Miss Photogenic, Miss Congeniality, High ticket sales, Talent, 2nd runner up, 1st runner up and the crowning of the 2017 Miss Highlands and Jr. Miss Highlands.

Each year, the Horizons present the Jennie Robbins Community Service Award to the Miss Highlands contestant who has proven to be community minded and dedicated her time to serving & helping others. Last year,  Kaitlyn Rolin & Haley Maxey were both chosen to receive this special honor.  

Other winners from the 2018 Miss Highlands Pageant are  Kaitlyn Rolin - Miss Highlands, Lauren Torres - 1st Runner up, Haley Maxey- 2nd Runner up,  Miss Congeniality & High ticket sales-Haley Nugent,  Talent- Lauren Torres,  Miss Photogenic – Kaitlyn Rolin.  Winners from the 2018 Jr. Miss Highlands Pageant are: Payton Radle- Jr. Miss Highlands, Lexi York- 1st Runner up, Aubrey Bird- 2nd Runner up, Payton Radle - Miss Photogenic, Lexi York- High ticket sales & Miss Congeniality, Trinity Cash -Talent. 

Proceeds from the pageants are used to give scholarships to graduates from the community and to help needy families and students. This year, The Horizons gave 10 scholarships to deserving graduates.
