Juan Garza, center, a Crosby resident, is heading to Ft. Jackson, South Carolina to train to become a soldier in the U.S. Army. Recruiters from the Baytown U.S. Army Recruiting Station were on hand to congratulate Garza and other Army recruits. They gathered at the Texas First Bank to also help celebrate the U.S. Army’s 243rd birthday.  Liz Webb, the bank’s assistant vice president, helped put the event together and was helped by Judy Ann Cushman-Dubose, director of development for the WAVE Campaign.
