The City of Baytown is hosting a Back 2 School Sock Drive through July 15. Donations can be made at designated city drop-off sites for distribution to students in need. New socks of any color and infant, child and adult sizes will be accepted. The donated socks will be given away at a Back to School Fair on Aug. 3.

“Our sock drive is one part of a larger initiative gearing up to help students in need who are returning to school in August,” Baytown spokeswoman Natasha Barrett said. “That’s when we will be kicking off our Back 2 School Fair scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Community Center. The students will be able to receive everything from new shoes, socks, backpacks to free haircuts.”
