Pickering

Walter Pickering is being sought by Baytown police for questioning in connection with a fatal shooting Friday morning.

A Baytown man, identified by the Baytown Police Department as 32-year-old Glen Flowers, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Valero gas station in the 1600 block of North Alexander Drive shortly after midnight Friday.

Witnesses told officers on scene the suspect was a black male who drove off in a gray Chevy pickup truck.  Witnesses were able to give police the license plate of the truck, which was registered to a Walter Pickering. 

Through the investigation, detectives interviewed several witnesses who said the suspect and a Hispanic female were arguing while at the gas pumps.  The suspect turned toward Flowers, cursed at him then shot Flowers for no reason and fled in the Chevy truck. 

Detectives have identified a person of interest as 25-year-old Walter Pickering of Baytown.  Pickering is driving a 2007 silver Chevy pickup truck with Texas license plate CGX-7280.  Baytown police are asking the public for any assistance in locating Pickering.  Pickering is considered armed and very dangerous.
