The St. Joseph Catholic Church Bereavement Ministry CARE Team (Caring and Reaching Out to Each other) is hosting a bereavement support group program Saturday mornings through April 3. The Baytown Bark Park’s Easter Egg Hunt is March 27 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Baytown Bark Park, 4334 Crosby Cedar Bayou Road. Admission is $5 per pet. Price includes a chance to win a “doggie” Easter basket or a $25 gift certificate courtesy of Super Pet World. Dogs must be on a leash for this event. Pet photography will be available at additional cost. Proceeds benefit the Baytown Humane Society.
The Port of Houston Authority’s “River, Lakes, Bays ’n Bayous Trash Bash” is March 27 at the Baytown Nature Center, 6213 Bayway Drive. Parking will be in designated areas on San Jacinto Point, inside the Nature Center. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and will take place at Tracey’s Theater on San Jacinto Point. Groups of 10 or more should download the registration form from www.trashbash.org and fill it out prior to arrival to expedite the registration process. The Goose Creek Country Club Community Feast is March 29 with lunch and evening servings. Enjoy Gene Smith’s award-winning barbecue ribs, pork loin, plum sauce and all trimmings for only $10 dinner. Chambers County employees can sign up for free CPR classes to be held March 29. Each class will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with one hour for lunch, at the county library in Anahuac.
